Role Description

The Pump Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lavon, TX. This role is responsible for operating concrete pumping equipment safely and efficiently, including setup, priming, monitoring, and shutdown of pumps during daily operations. The Pump Operator will inspect equipment before and after use, manage hoses and tubing connections, and ensure proper flow and placement of cement and related materials. Daily tasks include coordinating with site supervisors and crew members, performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, following safety protocols, and documenting any issues or incidents. The Pump Operator may also assist with basic training of new team members on pump operation and site procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating concrete pumps, with strong understanding of equipment controls and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of tubing, hose handling, and material flow to ensure proper setup, operation, and removal at job sites.
• Familiarity with cement, concrete mixes, and related materials, including proper handling and basic troubleshooting during pumping.
• Skills in inspection and routine maintenance of pumps and associated equipment to identify issues and support safe operation.
• Ability to follow training and safety guidelines, and contribute to training of team members on equipment use and site best practices.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, crew members, and customers on site requirements.
• Valid CDL driver’s license and reliable transportation; prior experience in construction or concrete services is preferred.
