Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanic B (Pump Mechanic) in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and intermediate diagnostics to keep equipment rental fleets on the ready line.

You will perform routine servicing, inspect critical components, and assist in mentoring junior technicians while maintaining safe, efficient shop operations. Salary is paid hourly with comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ownership of hand and air/electric tools to complete repairs and services.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Mechanic C-level tasks.
• Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch on a consistent schedule.
• Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and system flushes.
• Inspect engines, belts, hoses, radiators, and major systems for leaks and wear.
• Diagnose and repair cooling, fuel, and electrical systems using computerized tools.
• Assist in training Mechanic C technicians and maintain clean, organized work areas.
