Job summary

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a Pump Mechanic for our Fresno client. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity paying $21/hour.

The Pump Mechanic will diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain industrial pumps and related equipment in a shop setting, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. 2+ years of experience and a HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience (pump repair preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild industrial pumps.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend proper repairs.
• Replace seals, bearings, gaskets, shafts, and other components.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Align motors and pumps to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with loading/unloading equipment as needed.
• Complete repair documentation and parts inventory tracking.
