The position requires hands-on leadership, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to train and guide assembly staff while maintaining safety and quality standards. On-site work with a Monday–Friday schedule and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of assembly experience required.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Good mechanical aptitude is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing conditions and assignments.
• Strong at presenting information in one-on-one or small groups.
• Self-motivated with drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of personnel in the assembly cells.
• Improve processes to maximize value stream profitability.
• Ensure ISO and quality standards are met.
• Conduct regular employee meetings to build teamwork.
• Monitor throughput and performance; take corrective action as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures within the department.
• Provide training and guidance to assembly staff.
• Ensure capacity matches demand in the short and long term.
• Maintain safety awareness and promote safe practices.
• Interpret written instructions and blueprints; manage material flow.
• Assist in assembly operations as directed by the assistant manager.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and communicate shortages to manufacturing/purchasing.
