The Opportunity:

You will be responsible for monitoring the processes in the Pulp Mill area and directing the crew members and/or reserves. The Pulp Mill area includes the two woodyard stacker/reclaimers, chip screening, two continuous Kamyr digesters, two lines of brown stock washers and screening, two bleach lines, ERCO R8 CLO2 generator, mill water clarification, and two mill air compressors. You will report to the Pulp Mill Superintendent.

How you will impact WestRock:

• Ensure that all work will be performed within Westrock safety rules and policies, in accordance with environmental permits, within the pulp mill’s quality guidelines, and meet daily production goals.
• Directly supervise 10-12 hourly employees per shift
• Ensure Safety and Environmental compliance.
• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled work with maintenance and engineering.
• Troubleshoot processes through crew engagement, PI trending, and the use of documented troubleshooting guides and procedures.
• Complete hourly performance reviews and performance documentation.
• Sign off on area checklists: preventative maintenance sheets, Best Management Practice, safety, housekeeping, and equipment integrity.
• Build a daily crew roster, and log in crew members time on KRONOS.

What you need to succeed:

At least a high school diploma or GED and must have a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
