Job summary

Hood Container Corporation seeks an entry-level Operator Support for the Pulp Mill in St. Francisville, LA. You will support production tasks, operate with safety in mind, and assist with equipment setup and maintenance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and willingness to learn. This role involves lifting heavy objects, working in a noisy industrial environment, and adhering to all PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing/industrial/mill experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand long periods, perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to equipment and processes.
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping to ensure clean, safe work areas.
• Collaborate with team; communicate with supervisors.
• Assist operators with machine setup, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Load/unload transport raw materials, chemicals, and finished products as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
