Job summary

Domtar Corporation in Wisconsin seeks a Process Engineer - Pulp & Energy to join our team at the Nekoosa facility. You will lead process improvements, support safety initiatives, and drive cost reductions across the kraft mill operations.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, a BS in Chemical Engineering or related field, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. Occasional weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of engineering experience in an industrial environment, preferably pulp & paper or heavy industrial manufacturing.
• BS in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Chemistry or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft products.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and lead safety initiatives in the workplace.
• Support high quality product standards and reduce variability.
• Provide technical assistance to production areas.
• Lead process optimization and cost-reduction initiatives with trial plans.
• Interface with suppliers to drive cost reductions and process improvements.
• Develop leadership skills and assume increasing supervisory responsibilities.
• Provide weekend coverage for the Kraft Mill on a rotating basis.
