Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a Registered Nurse in Pulmonology to work with providers caring for patients with respiratory conditions. You will perform clinical assessments, coordinate care, support treatment plans, and help patients manage acute and chronic pulmonary needs in a small, collaborative clinic.

This full-time role emphasizes independence, teamwork, and compassionate care. Illinois RN license and CPR/BLS are required, with prior ICU/IMC or hospital nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Previous ICU/IMC or hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and nursing judgment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize patient needs, and manage clinical responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a small department.
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability for patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, obtain vital signs, review medications and medical histories.
• Provide nursing care for acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, testing, and procedures within RN scope.
• Respond to calls, assess symptoms, and provide nursing guidance per protocols.
• Coordinate testing, referrals, medications, and follow-up care.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and disease management.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate with providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Support efficient clinic operations and patient safety.
