Job summary
Riverview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner (Pulmonary NP) for days-shift coverage at Riverview Pulmonology Associates in Gadsden, AL. This APRN role focuses on diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions in collaboration with pulmonologists.
The position is Per Diem/PRN with 8-hour shifts and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care across age groups. Requirements include MSN with ARNP specialization and an active Advanced Practice Nurse license,
Qualifications
- MSN with ARNP specialization required.
- Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse required.
- BLS certification upon hire required.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide general care to patients of all ages with compassion and understanding.
- Perform tasks within scope of practice including tests, medical histories, treatments, working with physicians, and prescribing medications.

Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner (Pulmonary NP) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) specializing in diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the respiratory system. They work closely with pulmonologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for both acute and chronic lung conditions.

- The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion, and understanding.
- Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.
- MSN with specialization as an ARNP
- Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- BLS upon hire and maintain current
- Previous experience with electronic health record system
- One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred
