Job description

Seeking a BE/BC Interventional Pulmonologist or General Pulmonologist interested in outpatient and inpatient care.

Equipment and Facilities:
  • Veran Peripheral Lung Navigation System for bronchoscopy and needle localization
  • Olympus Endobronchial Ultrasound System
  • Olympus 4mm and Pentax 5mm Bronchoscopes
  • Varian Linear Accelerator with 3D, IMRT, and SBRT treatment capabilities
  • Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy
  • GE Large Bore 4D CT for motion management evaluation of lung tumors
  • Two CT scanners with low-dose screening capabilities
Hospital and Cancer Center:

The hospital's expanded and renovated Multi-Disciplinary Cancer Center includes 2 Medical Oncologists and 1 Radiation Oncologist. Features include a new infusion center with 21 chairs, and approval for the 340B drug discount program. Key statistics:

  • Approximately 450 new cancer cases annually
  • Consults in the 12-bed ICU (overseen by Hospitalists)
  • Multidisciplinary rounds
  • Bronchoscopies performed in OR, ICU, or endoscopy suite
  • Six operating rooms
  • Light call requirements, minimal weekend duties
  • Emergency procedures handled by Hospitalists and ER physicians
  • Provide consultative services only (about 2 per week)
  • Developing Lung Nodule/Lung Cancer Screening program
  • Robust Oncology program
  • Availability of Cardiothoracic surgeon
Practice Details:
  • Inpatient: approximately 50%
  • Outpatient: approximately 50%, minimal sleep practice
