Job description

Location: Eastern Iowa, the unique city center for arts and culture in the Quad Cities. Facility: A medical center offering comprehensive services including emergency care, surgery, cardiology, oncology, and more. Known for advanced technology and patient-centered care.

Opportunity:

• Inpatient, Outpatient, ICU, Shared Call, and Procedures
• Practice Setting: medical, surgical, trauma, adult
• Number of Critical Care Physicians in Group: 4 full-time
• Schedule: Monday-Friday with call (1:4 every 4th night and weekend)
• Average ICU Patients per Day: up to 20 with nurse practitioner support
• Average Inpatient (non-ICU) Patients per Physician per Day: up to 10
• Average Admissions per Physician per Day: 5
• Trauma Level/Designation: III
• Documentation System/EMR: Cerner
• Ventilation Management Procedures: ETT/NT/Tracheostomy, BiPAP/CPAP
• Insertions: Central Line, Arterial Line, PA Catheter, IABP, Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
• Diagnostic/Therapeutic Taps: Thoracentesis, Paracentesis
• Procedures: Chest tube insertion, Bronchoscopy (with BAL), Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, Pulmonary function testing, Pulmonary rehab, Cardiopulmonary exercise testing, Bronchoprovocation testing, EBUS, Interstitial and granulomatous lung disease management
• Treatment of conditions: Asthma, Bronchiolitis, COPD, Interstitial lung disease, Pulmonary fibrosis, Pneumonia, Sarcoidosis, Pulmonary nodules, Pulmonary vascular disease
• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
• Eligible for federal school loan forgiveness programs
