Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a clinical study coordinator to assist in data collection, subject recruitment, and overall coordination of clinical studies. This role supports the principal investigator and health professionals in ensuring study integrity and data quality.

A Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in medical or research settings are required; paramedical or clinical experience is preferred. The position involves data management, reporting, and possibly supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in medical and/or research setting.
• Paramedical or other clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists principal investigator and health professionals in troubleshooting study problems.
• Performs technical procedures on clinical subjects under PI direction.
• Assists with recruitment of patients and tracks referrals from doctors and labs.
• Maintains patient records and determines continued eligibility in the study.
• Obtains and interprets pertinent data from medical records to understand patient condition.
• Designs brochures and data forms; creates reports and graphs of study results.
• May supervise other personnel including volunteers.
• Develops codes and data collection forms for computerization.
• Consults with faculty, coordination centers, sponsors, and health professionals.
• Performs other related duties as needed.
