Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) in General Pulmonology for outpatient care at Evanston Hospital and affiliated sites. You will see new and established patients, with 36 hours direct care and 4 hours admin time weekly; 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, no weekends, no on-call, sign-on bonus for experienced candidates.

Licensure in IL, DEA, and BLS/CPR are required, with a master's degree in a related specialty and prior APN/PA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
• Education: Completion of master's level program in specialty area
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience: Prior APN/PA experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed histories and perform physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results
• Instructs patients on prescribed therapies and pre/post operative instructions; maintains records and writes progress notes
• Follows patients through their course of treatment in clinic and hospital settings; collaborates with physicians and health care team
• Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate; demonstrates evidence-based practice
• Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty; promotes wellness and prevention of illness and injury
