Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Pulmonary and Sleep office in Buckhead for a full-time outpatient role. The position focuses on pulmonary and sleep medicine patients and offers opportunities to manage care in a collaborative setting with MDs available for complex cases.

The role requires PA or NP credentials in Georgia and a background in ambulatory pulmonary care; prior sleep medicine exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physician Assistant program with current Georgia license.
• Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing.
• Experience in pulmonary or sleep medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an independent provider in a busy Pulmonary and Sleep office with MDs available to assist in evaluating complex patients as needed.
• Takes patient histories, conducts physical examinations, writes progress notes, and develops appropriate treatment plans.
• Orders and interprets laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures including Chest X-rays, Chest CTs, Pulmonary Function testing, and Sleep studies; explains necessity, nature, and results to the patient.
