Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the inpatient pulmonary team at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. This is a full-time, 40-hour position with weekend shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You will work alongside highly trained physicians and APPs in a leading pulmonary program.

Minimum qualifications include an accredited PA program degree and national certification, or Georgia NP licensure with national certification, to practice medicine in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification.
• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia with national certification is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation and treatment of Pulmonary patients in an inpatient setting.
• Take patient histories, perform exams, and document in the medical record.
• Write orders, progress notes, consults, admissions and discharge summaries.
• Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as direct patient care is delivered.
• Interpret labs and radiographic testing, and develop treatment plans with physicians.

Education
