Job summary

UHA University Health Associates seeks an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to provide pulmonary care across inpatient and ambulatory settings. The APP collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to develop and implement comprehensive care plans and coordinate discharge planning.

The role includes performing rounds, ordering tests, documenting care, and teaching residents and students while maintaining regulatory standards and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pulmonary or acute care experience preferred.
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant credentials required.
• Licensed/eligible for licensure in West Virginia/recognized state.
• BLS Certification with ALS training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive care for pulmonary patients in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Performs rounds, pre-procedure evaluations, and orders tests as needed.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary care and discharge planning.
• Documents plan of care and communicates results to team.
• Mentors residents and medical/nursing students.
• Provides education to staff and participates in clinical committees.
