Job summary

The University of Southern California in Arcadia, CA, invites applications for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Division of Pulmonology/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The APP will work with attending physicians to provide pulmonary and critical care services in inpatient and outpatient settings, with responsibilities including exams, ordering studies, and coordinating care.

Qualifications include a current California RN or APP license, ACLS/BLS, and a certificate from an APP

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN and/or Advanced Practice Provider licenses.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• Pulmonology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonary and critical care consultation and follow-up in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Care for pulmonary patients admitted with disease or treatment-related complications or in palliative care.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies; prescribe appropriate treatments with attending physician.
• Consult with specialist physicians and coordinate care with patients and providers.
• Maintain longitudinal communication with primary and referring providers.
