Grandview Medical Center - Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pulmonary unit. This 7pm-7am night shift role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and additional incentives including student loan contributions up to $20k.

The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality patient-centered care, collaborates with physicians and the care team, and supports education for patients and families. The ideal candidate provides age-appropriate care, adheres to infection control, and participates

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure required; ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and unit protocols.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects according to standards.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety; participate in audits and quality initiatives.
• Operate telemetry and monitor monitors, vitals, and alarms as needed.
