Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Bayview Medical Hospital. This full-time days position runs 07:00 am – 07:00 pm with weekend rotation and pays $65 per hour.

The RT will observe, assess, monitor, and educate patients in outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation, collaborating with another RT for documentation. Required: AMA‑approved Respiratory Therapy program, Maryland state license as Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC‑RRT, and current BLS; ACLS preferred or as per

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA‑approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Maryland State Board of Physicians.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assess patients during pulmonary rehabilitation sessions.
• Monitor and obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients throughout therapy activities to ensure safety and tolerance.
• Provide patient education related to pulmonary disease management and rehabilitation goals.
• Respond appropriately to patient needs or changes in condition.
• Work collaboratively with the pulmonary rehab team, including another RT responsible for documentation.
• Follow infection control, safety, and departmental policies.
• Maintain a professional, supportive, and respectful environment for all patients.
