Qualifications

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in a related field.
• Experience with basic molecular/cellular biology techniques including DNA/RNA/Protein isolation and analysis, histology, immunofluorescence/IHC.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, scientific recording and writing skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in lung cancer, inhalational exposures, or related lung disease areas.
• Experience with primary cell culture and/or animal models.
• Experience with DNA damage and repair in pulmonary or cancer epithelial cell biology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying lung diseases and lung cancer with inhaled exposures.
• Perform in vitro and in vivo studies using animal models and primary/immortalized cell cultures.
• Apply molecular, cellular, immunohistochemical, and imaging techniques to generate and interpret data.
