Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. in Worcester, MA is seeking a Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for a part-time role to deliver comprehensive respiratory care in long-term care settings.

The successful candidate will perform assessments, diagnose and treat pulmonary conditions, and educate patients. A Master’s in Nursing and an unrestricted NP/PA license are required, with local travel to facilities averaging 100% involvement.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted NP/PA/Physician license.
  • DEA License.
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified.
  • Must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Local Travel 100% required.
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • A year of experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care.
  • Prefer experience documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical assessments of patients with pulmonary conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat respiratory illnesses (asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies (inhalers, antibiotics, rehab programs).
  • Educate patients and families on disease management and adherence.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures (spirometry, chest X-rays, ABG).
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
  • Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified
  • Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Local Travel 100% required
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • A year of experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care
  • Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
  • Must have great organizational and time management skills.
  • Prolonged standing/walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Computer work. Lifting/moving patients. Prolonged sitting.
