Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our pulmonary clinic team. The role focuses on patient care, vital signs, immunizations, specimen collection, and supporting physicians and RNs.

You will work in a busy outpatient setting with a standard day shift, 40 hours per week, and benefits coverage. A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered to external applicants or CHW MA Apprentice students.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited MA training program or 1 year direct patient care experience.
• 1 year of MA experience in a physician practice preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.
• MA certification within 120 days (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, vital signs, immunizations, and specimen collection.
• Support scheduling, chart prep, and in-basket tasks for RNs/RTs.
• Provide clinical support within MA scope of practice.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Medical Assistant training program

BLS Certification

CMA / RMA / CCMA / NCMA / NRCMA certification
