Job summary

Aurora Pulmonary Services clinic, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 0.6 FTE (approximately 24 hours/week) schedule, Monday–Friday, first shift. The role is part-time with no holidays or weekends.

You will support providers, take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, administer medications, perform lab tasks, and document in the electronic health record, contributing to a compassionate, coordinated ambulatory care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have an accredited medical assistant diploma or 2 years of verifiable medical assistant experience within the past five years.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, part-time, approximately 24 hours weekly, 1st shift. No weekends No Holidays.
• As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in the care team - supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
