Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team at Aurora Pulmonary Services clinic on the St. Luke’s Medical Center campus in Milwaukee. The role requires assisting providers, taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring a compassionate patient experience.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours, first shift, no weekends or holidays. Eligible candidates have a MA diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Accredited MA diploma or 2 years MA experience within past five years.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
