Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team and ensure a seamless, compassionate patient experience at the Milwaukee clinic. You will assist providers, take vitals, prepare for exams, and help manage vaccines and lab tasks.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, an accredited MA diploma or 2 years MA experience in the past five years, with phlebotomy skills preferred. Monday–Friday, 1st shift, full-time; no weekends or holidays.

• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

We're Looking For

About This Location

The Aurora Pulmonary Services clinic is in Milwaukee, WI within the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center campus at 2900 W Oklahoma Ave. in the 2nd floor Galleria. The clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating complex lung diseases, respiratory conditions, and a wide array of sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available.
• Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case- by -case basis.
• Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills.
• Will be exposed to the following hazards on a frequent basis: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids. Will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
• Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
