Job summary

BMC Software is seeking a Respiratory Pulmonary Function Therapist to support the Pulmonary Department on a part-time basis in Massachusetts. The role requires NBRC registration and an active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license, with 3–5 years of relevant experience in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests and delivering respiratory care, interpreting lab results, and communicating treatment goals to patients, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of a two-year AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current license/permit from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Three to five years of experience with department policies, procedures, and equipment.
• Ability to review lab results, perform respiratory assessments and operate respiratory equipment.
• Ability to explain therapy and goals to patients and communicate with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical duties in diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease.
• Deliver Respiratory Care Services to ensure quality patient care.
• Explain therapy plans to patients and families and collaborate with healthcare team.
