Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Respiratory Care Department Clinical Coordinator, performs a variety of technical duties involved in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease, along with the delivery of Respiratory Care Services to ensure the quality care received by patients. Position: Respiratory Pulmonary Function Therapist Department: Pulmonary Schedule: Part Time

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Work requires knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pulmonary Physics, Pulmonary Pathophysiology, advanced respiratory care, mathematics, blood gas chemistry, and pharmacology at a level generally acquired through the completion of a two year AMA approved program in Respiratory Therapy.
• Work requires registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Work requires a current license or permit from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Work requires knowledge of department policies, procedures, standard, and equipment at a level generally acquired during three to five years of experience.
• Work requires analytical ability necessary to review and evaluate various laboratory results, conduct respiratory assessments, and properly operate highly technical respiratory equipment.
• Work requires interpersonal skills necessary to explain therapy and goals to patients and family members and to communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.

Compensation Range

$32.84- $43.31 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
