Job summary

Powers Health Rehab Center in Crown Point, IN is seeking a Part-time Pulmonary Function Therapist to support the respiratory therapy team. The role involves performing and assisting with pulmonary function tests, preparing patients, and ensuring quality results.

The ideal candidate has completed an approved Respiratory Therapy program, holds NBRC certification/registry, and possesses an Indiana license; CPFT is preferred. This position is 0.2 FTE (16 hours per pay period).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

PULMONARY FUNCTION THERAPIST

PART-TIME - CROWN POINT

Position Description:

The Pulmonary Function Therapist is responsible for performing and assisting with a variety of pulmonary function tests to
evaluate and assess patients’ respiratory status. The technician prepares patients for testing, operates and maintains
pulmonary diagnostic equipment, ensures accurate and quality test results, and provides compassionate patient care
throughout the testing process. The technician works collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses and
other healthcare professionals.

Education/Experience:

Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program and successful completion of the certification and/or
registry exams through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Requires current Indiana Respiratory Care
Practitioner’s license.
