Job summary

Powers Health Rehab Center in Crown Point, IN is seeking a Part-Time Pulmonary Function Therapist to perform and assist with pulmonary function tests, prepare patients, operate equipment, and ensure quality results. You will work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists and nurses to deliver compassionate patient care.

Ideal candidates have completed an approved respiratory therapy program with NBRC certification/registry, and current Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner license.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• NBRC certification/registry is preferred (CPFT credential or Registered Pulmonary Function).

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with pulmonary function tests to evaluate respiratory status.
• Prepare patients for testing and operate pulmonary diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure accurate, quality test results and provide compassionate patient care throughout testing.

PULMONARY FUNCTION THERAPIST

PART-TIME - CROWN POINT

Position Description:

The Pulmonary Function Therapist is responsible for performing and assisting with a variety of pulmonary function tests to
evaluate and assess patients’ respiratory status. The technician prepares patients for testing, operates and maintains
pulmonary diagnostic equipment, ensures accurate and quality test results, and provides compassionate patient care
throughout the testing process. The technician works collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses and
other healthcare professionals.

Education/Experience:

Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program and successful completion of the certification and/or
registry exams through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Requires current Indiana Respiratory Care
Practitioner’s license.
