Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE seeks a Pulmonary Function Technologist to conduct comprehensive pulmonary function testing, including spirometry and methacholine challenge, and to support cardiopulmonary assessments.

The role requires an ASN or BS in Respiratory Care, at least one year of experience, and current RRT credentials with Nebraska RCP license; BLS and ACLS within timeframes.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care.
• At least 1 year in a pulmonary function lab or Respiratory Therapy.
• RRT credential required; Nebraska RCP license required.
• BLS within 3 months; ACLS within 3 months.
• RPFT certification optional.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine pulmonary function testing independently.
• Documents procedures in patient records according to procedures.
• Evaluates and interprets tests following guidelines.
• Communicates with care team to update patient progress.
• Maintains patient care plan to ensure quality outcomes.
