Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Pulmonary Function Technologist to perform pulmonary function testing, spirometry, methocholine challenge, and related cardiopulmonary studies at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

The role requires an Associate or BS in Respiratory Care, RRT and Nebraska RCP licensure, with O2–accessible BLS/ACLS within timelines. Schedule is Casual M-F, 7:00am–4:30pm, in a supportive care team environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of respiratory care principles, practices and procedures via degree.
• One year of experience in a pulmonary function lab or Respiratory Therapy Department.
• Licenses: RRT, Nebraska RCP license, BLS/ACLS within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine pulmonary function testing independently.
• Documents procedures in patient records per departmental procedures.
• Develops/reviews plan of care to provide optimum patient outcomes.
• Communicates with the care team to exchange information on patient condition and progress.
• Maintains continuity of hospital services to ensure timely patient care interventions.
