Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is hiring for a Pulmonary Diagnostics role in Winston-Salem, NC. The 40-hour work week runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, within the Pulmonary Diagnostics department.

Qualifications include AMA-respiratory care program graduate or NBRC registry eligibility, CPFT within 6 months, and RRT certification; RPFT preferred. The position requires maintaining equipment and delivering high-quality diagnostic testing.

Qualifications

• Communicates on a professional level with physicians, nurses and other ancillary staff.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes cooperative work environment.
• Obtains arterial blood gases for acid-base and oxygenation status.
• Calibrates equipment daily to ensure accurate readings.
• Upholds quality improvement standards in the lab.
• Provides clinical experience for students to enhance knowledge.
• Administers pulmonary function testing (spirometry, flow-volume loops, bronchodilator).
• Manages six minute walk test, pulse oximetry, oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments.
• Ensures diagnostic testing yields optimal patient effort and results.
