Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Pulmonary Function Technologist to perform diagnostic tests for patients from child to geriatric ages. You will operate testing equipment, collect samples, and communicate results to physicians to support final diagnoses.

Training and compliance with National Patient Safety Goals are required. You will work in collaboration with the Respiratory Therapy team, maintain equipment, and ensure patient safety in accordance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CTRT) in the state of Georgia.
• Minimum 1 year as a respiratory practitioner.
• Graduate of a two-year Respiratory Registry program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs pulmonary function diagnostic procedures and analyzes results.
• Operates spirometry, plethysmography, nitrogen washouts, and diffusion studies.
• Delivers inhaled medications during testing and manages arterial blood gas collection.
