Job summary

UF Health Gainesville is seeking a Pulmonary Diagnostics Laboratory Technologist to assist in daily operations under the Cardiopulmonary Coordinator. You will support attending physicians and fellows in pulmonary diagnostic procedures, ensuring each patient’s needs are met through individualized care.

The role collaborates with Cardiopulmonary Technology and Respiratory Therapy student interns, and the Team Leader assigns daily work and lab operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited cardiopulmonary or respiratory therapy program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Board for Respiratory Care - Registered Respiratory Therapist or Cardiopulmonary Technologist.
• RPFT may be obtained within first 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operation of the Pulmonary Diagnostics Laboratory under the Cardiopulmonary Coordinator.
• Assist Pulmonary Attending Physicians and Fellows in pulmonary diagnostic procedures.
• Provide care for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Assist in training Cardiopulmonary Technology and Respiratory Therapy student interns.
