Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center seeks a physician specialized in Internal Medicine with Pulmonary/Critical Care training to join our multidisciplinary team. You will diagnose and treat patients, prescribe therapies, explain treatments, monitor progress, and mentor medical students and residents.

The role emphasizes collaboration within an academic medical environment, with opportunities for teaching, research, and professional development. Texas license eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or MBBS credential required.
• Completion of Internal Medicine Residency.
• Completion of, or in progress, a Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship.
• Board Certified, Board Eligible, or in the process of becoming Board Eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patient records, reports, test results, and examination information to diagnose the medical condition.
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
• Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
• Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through lectures and bedside training.
• Didactic lectures in topics of General Internal Medicine.
• Participate in research activities.
