Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in an advanced practice nursing area from an accredited program.
• Completed basic professional curricula of a school of nursing verified by a state board of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical services including assessment, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Consults and collaborates with physicians and other health care providers to coordinate patient care.
• Documents services per policies and procedures, including medical records and care plans.
• Performs procedures and treatments per established protocols; may recommend procedures.
• Promotes patient wellness through education and counseling.
• Initiates drug therapy when appropriate after physician consultation.
• Identifies needed supplies and participates in safety initiatives.
