Job summary

Duke University Health System's Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an ambulatory pulmonary clinical pharmacist to deliver patient-centered care within the Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine division.

The role includes developing therapy plans, supporting medication access, educating patients, coordinating with Duke pharmacies, and mentoring students, with opportunities for outpatient and virtual services.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Pharmacy Degree.
• Licensed pharmacist in NC or eligible to practice in NC.
• PGY1 or Pharmacy Practice Residency preferred; with 1+ years of clinical practice experience or experience in managing pulmonary patient populations preferred
• Ambulatory care and pulmonary experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical pharmacy services in ambulatory pulmonary care.
• Develops therapy plans and monitors medications.
• Educates patients and supports medication access and adherence.
• Coordinates with Duke specialty and retail pharmacies for access to medications.
• Precepts pharmacy students and residents as needed.
