Qualifications

• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process all specialty care managed care referral authorization requests in compliance with contractual rules.
• Learn and stay proficient on APG and BIDMC technologies used for referrals.
• Serve as daily contact for APG patients, families, and staff on referral issues.
• Communicate with managed care payers to resolve referral issues and assist with billing problems.
• Maintain knowledge base of referral rules and collaborate with case management for complex referrals.
