Job summary

VA San Diego Healthcare System is seeking a Pulmonary RN Care Coordinator to coordinate and oversee patient care within the pulmonary clinics. You will schedule procedures, provide direct patient care as needed, and collaborate with radiology and other departments to optimize clinic workflow.

Preferred candidates have an RN license in the US, an accredited nursing degree, and eligibility for VA appointment.

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree from an ACEN/CCNE-accredited program.
• Current RN license to practice in the United States.
• Eligibility for licensure with a state board and VA appointment as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as needed.
• Coordinate care in pulmonary clinics and with oncology/cancer prevention services.
• Schedule and coordinate patients for pulmonary procedures and lung transplant workflows.
• Educate and consult patients scheduled for pulmonary procedures and screenings.
• Coordinate cancer survivor events and lung cancer screening initiatives with clinical staff.
