Job summary

Nashville Public Radio in Normal, IL seeks an Assistant Director who trains and supervises undergraduate and graduate students, and teaches the Introduction to Professional Publishing course within the English Department.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage multiple editing and layout tasks.
  • Strong collaboration with faculty and editors across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Train and supervise undergraduate and graduate students in publication workflows.
  • Instruct the Introduction to Professional Publishing course and related classes.
  • Edit and proof text for newsletters, journals, and books.
  • Assist with production of newsletters, journals, and books.
  • Manage Unit website content and online store operations.
  • Assist with grant applications and fundraising activities.
  • Oversee marketing projects for creative journals.
  • Collaborate with Director in organizing Unit activities.
  • Proofread/edit and work with layouts for newsletters, journals and books.
  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud including Acrobat, InDesign, and Photoshop, plus FileMaker and MS Word on Mac.
