But what truly powers 2K is our people.

We believe the best ideas come from teams that feel empowered, supported, and inspired. As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace where people are encouraged to come as they are and do their best work.

What We Need

The Sports Business Unit at 2K is looking for a Publishing Producer to join our team. This is a critical role that will further develop the foundations of our next blockbuster sports IP, offering a rare opportunity to impact the future of the sports video game category. The role requires strong production fundamentals, a highly organized approach to complex pipelines, and the ability to effectively bridge development and publishing teams from concept to release.

We are seeking a proactive, experienced professional with 4-5+ years of game development experience—ideally in AAA or live-service environments—to lead critical publishing operations and end-to-end delivery pipelines. In this role, you will act as a “mission control” for publishing activity, tech integrations, and budget areas, leveraging your deep expertise to take a title from inception to ship, while serving as a strategic bridge of alignment between development teams and cross-functional publishing units.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities in this role could include the following:

  • Act as best-in‑class production support to our development teams - deeply understanding their needs, supporting them in building publishing‑dependant development pipelines and developing a strong publisher‑developer relationship
  • Develop production pipelines for designing, creating and approving in‑game content, ensuring we have adequate process in place to track progress, resolve blockers and have enough quality content to satisfy our player needs
  • Contribute to milestone reviews of internal game builds and design documentation, using your lived experience of game development to provide valuable feedback to our development teams and help them realize their vision
  • Drive the overall integration of backend / core tech services into an in‑development title, processing both game team and central technology requirements and ensuring timely delivery of features around our release schedules
  • Design and run processes for internal game evaluation, incorporating inputs from Publishing and QA to ensure we’re delivering consistent and timely feedback to our development teams
  • Lead the overall game submission process for a AAA game from pre‑certification to post‑launch, triaging effectively between the development team, QA and Release Management to ensure we ship on time and at quality
  • Confidently coordinate playtests and build launches, driving internal alignment and clarity across game teams and publishing units, and closing out tactical responses to live issues
  • Convert your deep knowledge of our products into easily‑understandable business requirements, ensuring marketing, commercial, and licensing partners understand in‑development features and can operate in their roles effectively
  • Manage designated portions of a AAA game budget, such as tracking external development spend or third party porting costs
  • Support Publishing Production leadership with preparing material for executive‑facing presentations
What Will Make You a Great Fit
  • 4-5+ years experience in internal or external game development, ideally on AAA and/or Live Service games
  • Lived experience of the difference between Publishing and Development Production, either as part of a publishing production team already, or as part of an internal development team with external publisher backing
  • Strong previous experience in project management and production, with a proven ability to take full games (or major features) from inception to ship and support them post-launch
  • Deep understanding of the game development lifecycle - you know instinctively where games should be at major milestones and can critically assess the strengths and weaknesses of in‑development projects
  • Excellent communication skills - you seamlessly adapt your communication style based on your audience, and are comfortable leading everything from 1-1s to group presentations.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills - you actively maintain a clear map of internal and external teams, sharing knowledge effectively and instilling confidence in our partners
  • Strong problem solving skills - you are calm and curious under pressure, handling ambiguous development challenges with a structured approach
  • Financially competent - you have experience managing budgets for small games or bespoke areas of large games, and are diligent about resolving budget risks
  • Passion for the gaming market - you can discuss current industry trends with ease and actively apply those learnings to our own games
  • Passion for sports - a genuine passion for sports in some form; whether that’s playing in real life, obsessively following your local team, playing sports video games with your friends, or having sports be a key part of your local community and social life
What Tools You’ll Have Experience With
  • Must‑Have - Google Suite, especially Sheets, Slides and Docs
  • Should‑Have - Jira, Asana
Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with establishing new IP - experience building something brand new from a ‘blank page’, understanding how to channel creative ambition into something that’s actually possible to ship
