Job summary

The City of Parker in Parker, FL is seeking a full-time Utilities Service Worker to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance of water, sewer, streets and public works facilities. You will operate equipment, assist with water taps, meters, and hydrants, and help keep city systems in good repair.

Hours are 40 per week, with an after-hours on-call rotation. A high school diploma and a valid Florida CDL Class B license are required or substitute experience; pay ranges

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or substitution with relevant experience.
• CDL Class B license and Florida driver's license required.
• Experience in maintenance or construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for street, sewer and water maintenance.
• Assist with water taps, meters, hydrants and pumping stations.
• Maintain and repair water lines, valves and fire hydrants.
• Perform tasks on trucks and power tools, and follow safety instructions.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and irregular hours.
