Job summary

City of Green Bay Department of Public Works seeks an experienced Truck Driver to operate trucks for snow and ice control and related public works tasks. Training is available if you do not yet hold a CDL.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with summer hours; residency not required but you must respond to calls within 30 minutes. Health and wellness benefits are part of the package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in related field desirable.
• CDL Class A and Class N endorsements or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks for snow/ice control and other public works duties.
• Operate other equipment when qualified and directed.
• Report mechanical problems immediately to maintenance.
• Perform daily maintenance: refueling, greasing, washing, minor repairs.
• Haul snow and materials to projects; train others as assigned.
