Job summary

Civil Science, Inc. seeks a driven Public Works Project Manager to support Utah's municipal infrastructure initiatives, with offices in Salt Lake City or Lehi. You will lead client-facing project delivery, guide interdisciplinary teams, and help expand our Utah practice while building lasting agency relationships.

This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role in a growing, employee-owned firm. The role demands PE licensure, 8+ years of relevant experience, and willingness to travel across Utah.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in public works or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Experience working with city, county, or DOT clients.
• Must be able to travel and meet client needs throughout Utah and potentially in surrounding states.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D.
• Strong project management, organizational, and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary client contact for public works projects across Utah.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget for multiple active municipal projects.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Deliver high-quality infrastructure projects for city, county, and state agencies.
• Support business development efforts, including proposals and client relationship growth.
• Collaborate with leadership to expand backlog and strengthen market presence.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.
• Ensure projects meet quality, risk, and compliance standards.
