Job summary

Brevard County’s Public Works Department in the Engineering Inspection unit seeks a full-time, front-line professional to assist citizens through the public works process. Responsibilities include Right-of-Way/Easement permitting and development reviews, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Located at Government Center/Viera, salary $21.08–$23.19 hourly, negotiable by experience. Qualifications include two years of relevant college coursework plus three years in customer service

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework in public administration, business administration, construction, or related field plus three years in direct customer service.
• Three years in planning and development or public works with customer contact; or five years in customer service with public works exposure.
• Experience with Brevard County Code of Ordinances is preferred; Accela experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the public through public works processes, including Right-of-Way/Easement permits.
• Contribute to development review processes and provide guidance to applicants.
