$25.01 to $27.51 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and may include evenings for Board of County Commissioners and advisory boards meetings as required.
Performs experienced technical work providing technical and administrative support relating to the various advisory boards responsible for making recommendations and decisions relating to specific areas of Planning & Development Department activities. The work includes processing applications for rezoning, conditional use permits (CUPs), amendments to and/or removal of Binding Development Plans (BDPs), Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendments (SSCPAs); coordinating the annual meeting schedules and the associated agenda due dates for the various advisory boards; preparing agendas for the Brevard County Planning & Zoning/Local Planning Agency (LPA) Board meetings, County Commission Zoning meetings, Board of Adjustment (BOA), Building Construction Advisory Committee (BCAC) meetings, Port St. John (PSJ) Dependent Special District Board meetings, North Merritt Island (NMI) Special District Board meetings, and the Contractor Licensing Board meetings; responding to inquiries from the public regarding meeting schedules, agenda items, procedures, and polices; taking, transcribing, and distributing meeting minutes; and providing technical and administrative support to Planning & Development staff as needed.
