$3,637.87 to $4,001.66 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Performs skilled professional engineering work coordinating, planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting and/or implementing assigned projects for the Traffic Operations Program. May supervise subordinate staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering PLUS five (5) years of experience in transportation engineering;
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering PLUS four (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer I in traffic operations, planning and development, or a closely related field.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Florida, in accordance with Florida Statute 471, is preferred.

Special Requirements:

Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
