Job summary

Town of Avon, Colorado, is accepting applications for a Public Works Operator II to maintain roads, storm water infrastructure, parks, and recreation facilities. This role operates a wide range of equipment and supports Special Events programs.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED with CDL and solid experience operating heavy equipment.
• Experience with snow removal and road/bridge maintenance.
• Familiarity with parks, grounds maintenance, and recreational facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy and small equipment to maintain roads, parks, and infrastructure.
• Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs with fleet staff when needed.
• Plow snow, maintain sign program, and assist with special events setup and traffic control.
• Support recreation program needs such as field set-up and maintenance.
