Job summary

City of Plano is seeking a Public Works Maintenance Worker I–III to join the Streets/Highways/Bridges team. You will prepare and secure job sites, set up traffic control, and maintain essential tools and equipment to support daily operations.

You’ll repair and maintain streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, and storm drains, operating vibratory compactors, jackhammers, and related gear, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and reliable attendance.

Rate And Compensation

The successful candidate may be offered a position in one of the following classifications: Public Works Maintenance Worker I, Public Works Maintenance Worker II, or Public Works Maintenance Worker III.

The hiring range for the Public Works Maintenance Worker I is $18.81 - $22.57 per hour; depending on qualifications

The hiring range for the Public Works Maintenance Worker II is $19.75 - $23.70 per hour; depending on qualifications

The hiring range for the Public Works Maintenance Worker III is $20.74 - $24.89 per hour; depending on qualifications
