Job summary

The City of Santa Fe Springs is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for the Public Service Department under the USW contract. The position involves maintaining and repairing municipal infrastructure, including fire hydrants, sewers, streets and lift stations, with a starting wage of $23.83 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with Ohio Class A CDL (Tanker/Air Brake endorsements) to be obtained within 6 months.
• Flexible schedule; on-call for emergencies 24/7.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of municipal equipment and tools for maintenance work.
• Perform street repairs, utility locating, inspections, and repairs.
• Maintain and repair city infrastructure including lift stations and sewers.
• Assist with landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks as needed.
• Set up traffic control, safety barricades, and respond to emergencies.
